What is site zed?

Site Zed Journal is a digital zine dedicated to celebrating  paddle sports through original and insightful storytelling.

The name comes from the Stikine River in British Columbia, Canada.  Site Zed was the scene of a proposed dam, a local fight against dam construction, and a massive rapid that remained un-run until 2012.  The complexity of its history and the scale of its rapid makes Site Zed an impressive locale for those paddlers lucky enough to experience it. This site aspires to be a similarly rich and complex.

A new beginning

In the past, Site Zed Journal has focused on long-form content submitted by the community. Going forward, we hope to provide a few issues of various curated multi-media content throughout the year. See our submission guidelines.

Past essays and other content from Site Zed Journal remain available in the archives.
